Requirements Must be a high school senior at time of application. Must be the son or daughter of a veteran who served in the armed forces during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion. This is a freshman year award. Must be a domestic student in the U.S. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a parent who served in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Granada Conflict, Panama Conflict, or Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Must have completed 50 hours of community service during high school years.
