Requirements Must be a domestic student in the U.S. This is a freshman year award. Must be a high school senior at time of application. The applicant and his/her parents (or legal guardians) must have been Arkansas residents for the 12 months prior to the applicant's graduation from high school. Must graduate from an Arkansas high school. Must plan to attend an Arkansas college or university. Must meet the following financial need requirements: for a family with one dependent child under the age of 24, have an average family adjusted gross income, for the two years preceding the year of high school graduation, not exceeding $60,000; for a family with two dependent children under the age of 24, have an average family adjusted gross income, for the two years preceding the year of high school graduation, not exceeding $65,000; for a family with three dependent children under the age of 24, have an average family adjusted gross income, for the two years preceding the year of high school graduation, not exceeding $70,000; and for each additional (over three) dependent child, the income level increases by $5,000 per child. A family that includes two or more dependent children under the age of twenty-four, and two or more of these children are enrolled full-time in approved Arkansas colleges, shall have the income limit increased by an additional $10,000 of adjusted gross income for each additional child (other than the applicant) enrolled in college. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher if enrolling at an approved four-year institution or a grade point average of 2.25 or higher if enrolling at an approved two-year institution. Must a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. Must plan to enroll full time. Must have a composite score of 15 or higher on the ACT test.
