Requirements Must be an African-American student. Must be a resident of a state with a CITE chapter. The following states are included: California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont), New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the Washington, D.C. metro area. Must plan to attend school as a full-time student. Must have a total family income of $55,000 per year or less. Must be a domestic student in the U.S. Must be a U.S. citizen. This is a freshman year award. Must be a high school senior at time of application. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent based on another officially stated scale of the applicant's high school system. Must major in one of the following business-related fields: advertising, marketing, business, finance, accounting, engineering (electrical or industrial), math, and computer science/information technology.
