Requirements Must be a domestic student in the U.S. This is an undergraduate award. Must be a minority belonging to one of the following racial categories: Black (but not of Hispanic origin), Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian, or Alaskan Native. Please note: It is expected that all available scholarships will be committed to descendants of Rosewood families. Priority will be given to direct descendants of African-American Rosewood families affected by the events of January 1923. If awards remain after all eligible direct descendants have received awards, all other eligible minority applicants will be considered in the order specified on the website. Must attend or plan to attend an eligible Florida institution. A list of the eligible institutions can be found at www.firn.edu/doe/bin00065/eliginstrw.htm Must enroll full time in a program of study leading to an undergraduate degree, a certificate, or a diploma. Certificate programs include an Associate in Applied Science Degree, and must require at least 900 clock hours to complete. If seeking an undergraduate degree, full time means enrollment for a minimum of 12 credit hours each term. If seeking a certificate or diploma, full time means enrollment for a minimum of 24 clock hours per week. Must be a high school senior or older at time of application. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
