Requirements Must be a domestic student in the U.S. This is a freshman year award. Must be a U.S. citizen or be in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Must be enrolled full time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation, and planning to enter no later than the fall semester following graduation. Must demonstrate a critical financial need. $50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred; a written explanation must be provided if income is higher. Must reside in one of the following counties in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia: the District of Columbia; Anne Arundel, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, or Prince George's, Maryland; or Arlington, City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Fairfax, or Prince William, Virginia.
