Requirements
Applicant must be a minority student enrolled in full-time studies leading to a bachelor's degree at a college approved by LULAC and GM. Entering freshman applicant must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA and have a minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT I score of 970); undergraduate applicant must have a minimum 3.20 GPA. Selection is based upon likelihood of pursuing a successful career in engineering, academic performance, math, science, and engineering skills, writing ability, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Application, high school or college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and personal statement (300-word maximum) of professional and career goals required. Entering freshman should provide a copy of his/her letter of acceptance.
