Requirements Must be a domestic student in the U.S.; This is a graduate award.; Must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of study, including graduate work.; Must plan to earn a master's degree in school administration in preparation for a career in educational administration (assistant principal or principal).; Must have four years or more of successful full-time teaching experience or other relevant experience. Please note: This does not include part-time, substitute teaching, or teacher assistant experience.; Must attend a participating North Carolina institution. Participating institutions are the following: Appalachian State University, East Carolina University, Fayetteville State University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University, UNC at Chapel Hill, UNC at Charlotte, UNC at Greensboro, UNC at Wilmington, and Western Carolina University.; Must be a U.S. citizen.; Must be domiciled in North Carolina.; Must be unconditionally admitted for the fall of 2006 in the first year of a two-year master's degree program of school administration. The applicant must also have earned a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a state, regional, or national accrediting agency at the time of application.; Must be a full-time student.
