Requirements This is a graduate award for applicants who have been accepted into a master's, specialist's or doctoral program.; Must pursue a graduate degree in majors in which minority students have low representation: African Americans must major in the computer and information sciences, the life sciences, mathematics, the social sciences, business management and administrative services, or history; Hispanics must major in English language and literature/letters, mathematics, public administration and Services, the social sciences, or history; Asians or Pacific Islanders must major in education, English language and literature, the social sciences, protective services, psychology, or history; American Indians or Alaskan Natives must major in computer and information sciences, mathematics, psychology, protective services, the social or life sciences, health professions and related sciences, business management and administrative services, or history.; Must be a domestic student in the U.S.; Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.; Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.; Must be enrolled in the graduate program at the University of North Florida.; Must be a Florida resident for two years or more.; Must be a minority student in one of the following categories: African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander, and American Indian or Alaskan Native.; Must be a full-time student.; Must be a high school graduate or older at time of application.
