The expenses of college are heavy and at times hard to handle. It is my personal
belief that anyone with enough determination is capable of exceeding
expectations and fulfilling their dreams. I have the will to reach my dreams of
producing a better life not only for myself, but for my community as well.
Numerous hours of volunteer work and a rigorous school schedule have helped me
to realize that "the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may
act their dream with open eyes to make it possible." as said by T.E.
My dream life is one filled with extensive involvement in animal caretaking and
animal protection. The basis of my passion for agriculture stems from my will to
provide, protect, and love those who are incapable of doing so for themselves. I
believe every creature deserves a fair chance at life free of cruelty,
starvation, suppression, and abuse. I can only dream to some day hold a position
of worth in society, from which I can influence those around me to better care
for animals and their surroundings.
There is a wide array of agricultural careers that appeal to me. Through my work
with animal shelters I have discovered my deep love for animal training. While
taking Honors Biology and AP Biology in school I have evolved an enthusiasm for
zoology and ecology. My enrollment in the class American Government exposed my
desire to have a say in the laws and regulations that govern and protect the
uses on our many natural resources. Over the years I have learned that no matter
how I look at it, I will always have a future in agricultural and its affects on
I want to improve upon one of our world’s most important aspects of life. Many
view the study of agriculture as a dying science, when in fact agriculture
“will continue to reach far into every sector of our economy.” (Christopher
Bond). I believe agriculture is the core of our existence, for without it
humanity would cease to exist.
