Must be a domestic student in the U.S.; Must enter into the program within five years of high school graduation or within one year of the student's release from active duty military service (if that release is within five years of the date of the student's high school graduation). *Please note: The state laws that established this scholarship program state that eligibility begins with the high school class of 2004 and that funds will not be retroactively applied to previous classes.; This is a freshman year award.; Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.; Must be a resident of South Dakota at time of high school graduation.; Must have an ACT score of 24 or higher OR an SAT score of 1070 or higher.; Must attend a postsecondary institution that is accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) and that provides instruction from a campus located in South Dakota. To check his/her school's accreditation, the student should visit www.ncahlc.org and click on the 'Directory of Institutions' link.; Must have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
